Da Ma Shetoshuv - role of women

here's notes on ONLY the first topic:

Women’s Rights
Sometimes people see such an extreme they think they go to the other extreme – equal rights for women
The results were the exact opposite of what they wanted – that’s the movement that created the biggest feelings of women being put down – tell them you’re not allowed to live according to your unique qualities & characteristics – you have to fight that to imitate something else

True equal rights means that a person can reach their true shleimus

Torah says a halacha that a man can’t wear women’s clothing, and that a women’s not allowed to wear a man’s clothing.

Every person has their unique shlichus and purpose in the world – and they reach their shleimus through that.

Women have the most important role, that there should be a continuation of yiddishkeit – the next generation. It’s not only an obligation, it’s a shlichus.

True – eishes chayil talks about women doing business. But it’s done in a tznius way, and never at the risk of her job of raising children.

Feminism came from imitating what men do – not understanding what women are naturally good at.

A girl cannot become an akeres habayis overnight. When a girl is being educated she has to be taught and be aware of her mission in life.

What about parnassa? Hashem gives parnassa and He will give enough for all the children He will bless her with.

There are people who are concerned about the fact that a woman can’t get an aliya to the torah. Yes, an aliya gives you a great aliya b’ruchnius – but that’s not the type of aliya for a woman. If it’s against Hashem’s will there can’t be any ruchnius aliya. She can say amen and think about the concept of an aliya and that’ll be her aliya

The way to be a keili for Hashem’s brochos and achieve shleimus is when you use your nature and talents you were given.
Someach b’chelko – not only in material things, in your portion Hashem gave you.
